It's Free Willy meets How to Train your Dragon set in a circus!
For twelve out of every thirteen months, Mercura was a most very respectable place. Every minute of every day, hands were shaken, contracts were signed, stocks were traded, and money was exchanged. Merchant ships from every nation sailed into the harbour to unload their wares, which included everything from colourful tapestries woven in the finest threads to bags of rice weighed to the grain. Mercurians were so efficient that the tapestries and rice would be packed into carts for the next leg of their journey (both heading in opposite directions) down paved roads, and all before the Harbour Master could finish his breakfast. Most respectable, indeed. But for one month of every thirteen, the Fable Brothers Circus came to town. And when it did, the very serious Mercura was overcome by the absurd and the outlandish because the Fable Brothers hosted no ordinary circus. Theirs was a circus of magic, and home to the last dragon. Co-written by Erin Middleton, this book is intended to also include illustrations to bring the magical circus and it's mystical creatures to life. Status

Frontier of the Ravenwraiths

Think the world of Hamilton, a story in the vein of Fern Gully, and the messy love triangle of a romantasy.
The two greatest imperial empires the world has ever known clash over the new world. Maxwell Rush joins the war for a chance to be recruited into the Viridian Kingdom Navy, which he’s romanticised since birth. Head strong and trigger happy, Rush must come face-to-face with the realities of colonialism and decide what’s worth fighting for. Ludwig Gustav is a Perfect of the Church, a student of the Flareon Arts, and an emissary for the Florean Holy Empire. Gustav has a mind like no other, and quickly finds his logic tested as he questions his faith, the bedrock of his being, and must decide where he stands. Ev’gree, or Evie, is wise beyond her years, a woman raised to lead her people, but her passion and curiosity clash with tradition. As a Ravenwraith, she has the power of the night, and is nigh-invincible in the dark; but in the light she’s as vulnerable as anyone else. The story finds the three characters entangled with one another, where love, patriotism, faith, jealousy, and hope reach a boiling point that will decide the fate of three nations. The story is perfect for romantasy fans of These Hollow Vows or Infernal Devices and fans of flintlock fantasies like Powder Mage or Guns of the Dawn. Status
